Premier Pediatrics provides care to infants, children, adolescents, and young adults up to age 18. Our staff is dedicated in providing the best possible healthcare for our young patients. Each of our physicians are board certified and provide personalized care in a warm and friendly environment. Every one of our pediatricians and pediatric nurses have received extensive education, training, and experience in caring for children from infancy to teenage years and pre-adult.
Dr Anjali Monga trained in medical school in both India and United Kingdom. She received her medical degree from Govt. Medical College, Jammu, India and did her initial post graduate training in OBGyn at the Royal College of Obstetrics and Gynecology in London, United Kingdom. Practicing OBGyn in England,Dr Monga always felt her calling in medicine was more towards care of newborn babies she help deliver and health and well being of children. She subsequently completed a second residency in Pediatrics at CHOC Children’s Hospital in Orange, CA.
Dr Monga is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics. She has now been in active practice of general pediatrics in Irvine, CA for the last 15 years. Given her OB Gyn background she has an additional special interest in Adolescent Medicine. Over the years she has been a very popular and respected pediatrician in the community and has been the recipient of multiple outstanding pediatrician awards from Orange County Medical Association and other peer groups. Her office additionally has been recognized for quality excellence by number of healthcare IPA’s and other insurance organizations.
Dr Monga is committed to preventive pediatrics and through her membership of the local chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) has been a solid advocate of healthcare policies and initiatives of the AAP. She also has been very supportive of educational needs of underprivileged children in developing countries through her membership and support of organizations such as Ekal Vidyalaya.
Dr Monga also speaks fluent Punjabi and Hindi. She is on staff at St Joseph’s Hospital in Orange, CA and Hoag Presbyterian Hospital in Newport Beach, CA.
Dr. Meena Tanwar-Ahuja joined our practice in July 2017. She grew up in Ft. Worth, Texas. She received her Bachelors from U.C. Berkeley and then went on to pursue her Ph.D. from the University of Texas-M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Cancer Biology. She received her M.D. from Texas Tech University School of Medicine and did her residency in Pediatrics at the University of Arizona. She is Board Certified in Pediatrics and is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She has practiced General Pediatrics since 2012. She speaks Hindi and medical Spanish.
She moved to Souther CA a few years ago with her husband and 3 children. She loves spending time with her family, watching and playing football, volunteering at her children’s school, reading great books and dancing.
Dr. Tanwar has a passion for preventative medicine. She also spent several years working in Urgent Care Pediatrics and takes caring for your sick children very seriously. She believes in providing the care, support, and attention to help your children thrive.
